Meet Michael Schottland
A trial attorney for more than 55 years, Michael D. Schottland fought many legal battles including several that impacted the development of New Jersey common law. From civil and criminal courts to those at the highest level, the one thing driving Michael was his passion for justice for his clients; ensuring them a fair shake in the system sworn to do that. As counsel in the highly publicized State v. Bruce Curtis murder trial, he saw a reported opinion published that clarified the law on aggravated manslaughter which resulted in a treaty with Canada and was the subject of a CBS television movies and several books.
